2024 - Season 2

2024 marks the beginning of season 2 for the AC Urban Garden.  As the calendar dates and seasons change, so does the AC Urban Garden.  2024 will see an increased focus on organically grown salad mixes, known as Mesclun Lettuce Mix.  This lettuce is typical of what is seen at most salad bars when visiting a restaurant, but produced with no chemicals or pesticides.

 Revisions have been made to the garden layout to include walkways and sitting areas  for community members, which are intended to be conducive for inspiring serenity, tranquility, and peace in the midst of an urban environment.

While continuing to inspire young minds and future community leaders of tomorrow, the AC Urban Garden continues to cultivate change by introducing youth and community members to sustainable urban/community gardening in the heart of the city.  With so much technology available to our youths at the press of a button or swipe of a screen, the AC Urban Garden gives a much needed break to get acquainted with nature, while concurrently nurturing a new generation to sustainable urban gardening which can be shared over and over again.
